Since the number of pupils has been growing constantly and now there are 500 children in our school. Sunday school is a place where children study Bible every Sunday.
In 2004 academic year 55 pupils graduated from the Sunday school. In summer they had a rest in the Carpathian Mountains (photo) near Goverla (the highest peak of the Carpathians). Other children went to the Summer Christian camp in the village Dubechno, (photo) Starovygyvski district.
In this academic year there are 473 pupils, 70 teachers and assistants. 27 groups of pupils are formed. They study in three sessions.
On September 26 we celebrated Harvest Holiday and Birthday party. The church helped us to congratulate our pupils. The headmaster of Sunday school Svyatoslav Krasnetsky bought the presents for pupils who had Birthday in summer. On the Harvest Holiday we had dinner with bananas and oranges for children.
The teacher council consists of 8 members (they all are former or present students of Irpin Bible College). We have a lot of plans concerning Sunday school. We want to equip the library room for teachers, children and others; to make better play-room. In general, we want to make our school a good methodological example for other Sunday schools. We want to use spiritual gifts and talents which God gave us to improve the study process in our school. We have a plan to setup the children's club "The Future of Ukraine".
Among our teachers there are 6 professional teachers (who graduated from the Volyn State University), 12 teachers who have Christian education (they studied earlier or study now in Irpin Bible College), teachers who graduated from Lutsk Regional Bible College.
Our teachers also give Bible lessons in boarding school and other schools of Lutsk, in village schools in Antonivka, Zaborol and Tarasove.
We praise our Lord and thank Him for His care and strength to work and believe that we are the part of God's plan for His children.
Pray for our ministry, our teachers, all students who study Bible. May God's Word bring the fruits which are pleasant for God.
God bless you!
Demyanchuk Zhanna,
Head of Lutsk Sunday school.
