On this page we want to tell you about one of our missionaries Lomaka Anatoliy Stepanovych, who ministries God together with his wife in Mary-El republic (in Russia).
In Lutsk church "House of the Gospel" Anatoliy Lomaka had variety of ministries: he preached, sang in the choir, taught in Volyn Bible College. Now he and his wife, Lyubov Ivanivna, have been full-time missionaries in the distant Russian area, Mary-El republic, for 4 years already. They live and work in Orshanka, the regional centre of the republic. In this area people still firmly keep pagan traditions. They worship trees and stumps, sacrifice poultry. Witchcraft and alcoholic addiction are the widely spread phenomena.

The doors of cultural and educational establishments are still closed for the missionaries and the Gospel. They are not allowed to preach the Gospel on the squares, in the parks or any other public places, as it is possible in Ukraine. But even under such circumstances they try their best to fulfill God's command: "Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you" (Mat. 28, 19-20).
Anatoly Stepanovych works as a metal craftsman in a mobile team of mechanics. His wife Lyubov Ivanovych is a cloak-room attendant in the technical school. They keep in contact with the people and tell them about Jesus Christ. Living their life in a fear of Lord they serve as light in the darkness of sin for the sinful people not knowing God.
This Christian couple is already well-known in that remote village. People recognize them when meeting them at the market place and greet them friendly. Now they are said not to be the members of the sect, propagandists or something of the kind, but really children of God. People living in Orshanka often turn to this couple for advice, for a helping hand and are not afraid to share their secret personal problems and affairs with them.
The seeds planted by the missionaries are bearing the first fruits on the land of Mary-El republic. People get interested in Christian truths and search for the way of Salvation. On the 11th of June three residents of Orshanka were baptized. One can notice some changes in the life of this village area: men don't use curse words in the couple's presence, the number of suicides has recently decreased and the other sorts of disorders have also subsided.
- God did great things through the missionaries, - A. S. Lomaka says.-
At first I intended to share the Gospel with every person I met. But later Jesus told me that I can do nothing without Him. That's why since then I pray before each conversation or meeting and the Holy Spirit guides me in what I'm saying, shows the right people to talk to and sends those people whom He had chosen for me to speak to. At that time I forget that I am just a metal craftsman and I fulfill God's great command "...go and teach". Once I had a chance to share Christ with research worker of one of the huge military plant and he listened to me attentively and cried.
Just recently two specialists from Tatarstan, a chief engineer and a chief mechanic, both Muslims, visited us. We worked out some technological device and they came to borrow this invention in order to introduce it into usage in their country. While they were scrutinizing and photographing that device and studying the documentation I felt the calling to tell them about my faith in Jesus Christ. I could see both of them listening attentively with tears in their eyes and they opened their hearts, sharing their deeds and family problems with me. At that moment they totally forgot their high social and professional positions. That was the time when God started to point out their sins and shortcomings, as it is written in the book of John 16: 8: "And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin and of righteousness and of judgment". After that I prayed for them and we parted like good old friends.
